One room decor challenges and home renovation ideas
For the past six weeks, Maria from Simple Nature Decor Blog has been sharing sneak peeks of her journey with the One Room Challenge- guest bedroom makeover, here with us at Thursday Favorite Things. This week is the grand finale with the full bedroom reveal! This space is full of comfortable stylish charm with the transitional style combining both traditional and contemporary pieces of furniture. Simple coastal beach art on the walls and seashells framing a large mirror pull in natural elements and add texture to the soothing neutrals and touches of color splashed onto the bedding. The bedside lighting sconces is a favorite of mine. Maria mounted the lights on the vintage doors and added the beautiful paint finish herself. The tutorial for this project was previously featured on a Thursday Favs post all about door makeovers and creative door projects.
Guest Bedroom Makeover
Roxanne from The Honeycomb Home completed a One Room Challenge too. Her room was a complete kitchen makeover with plenty of before and after photos. She took a dated dark kitchen and brightened it with fresh whites, quartz countertops, and added to the existing builder grade cabinetry for a more custom look with additional storage space. The transformation is amazing and such beautiful inspiration for anyone hoping to tackle a kitchen remodel this summer.

Jaclyn from One Thousand Oaks shared a beautiful coastal inspired bathroom for the One Room Challenge project. She updated the existing vanity with new nickel finish hardware and a fresh coat of beachy blue paint. On her blog are all the details of where she found each accessory and the source for her paint colors.
Dining & Living Room In Progress
Sheila from Maison de Cinq shared a couple of rooms in her home as inspiration for those of us that are in the “in progress phase” of a room renovation project. Her dining room is such a beautiful space with the combination of warm woods and soft creamy neutral whites and greige colors. Her blog post shows several before and after photos of her dining and living room areas as they are progressing.

Sorry about having to add the link-up code a couple of hours late after the One Room Makeover post went live. These glitchy issues are bound to happen. I’m just giving someone else a break. Ha ha. Thank me later and enjoy linking up your Favorite Things blog posts and visiting some of the other blogs too. Ya’ll rock! Thanks for your patience with me.
