Welcome to Thursday Favorite Things! We have made a few changes to our wonderful party. We shortened the name, changed a few rules and we have some new images too. Join us every week as we party and share at the best link party in blog land!
I hope ya’ll enjoy the features that I chose to share this week.
The theme for this week is easy DIY home decor ideas.
Julie from Live from Julies House shared her chalkboard door DIY with all the items that she used to create a handy menu in her kitchen. Is this not the cutest idea?! I sure love the little basket to collect all the mail or even junky junk pamphlets we think we might need or want. Okay.. wait! I might be the only one who does that. I can’t speak for Julies use on the little basket. You will have to ask her about this clever home hack. 😉
Marie from Interior Frugalista shared a full tutorial on how she created a rustic coffee mug holder from pieces of wooden shutters. For real, for real- Mrs. Marie always blows me away with her creations. I’d love to meet her for coffee one day just to pick her brain. Armed with a saw, drills, power tools, and hammers, she can turn any old piece of junk into something fabulously functionable.
Diane from Deanies Stach gave this little gumball machine a dashing makeover and turned into a piece for storage. I love the retro-vintage style that Diane has. Ya’ll know me as being a French country gal at heart, but I have a major crush on this style of decor too. The gumball machine reminds me of one that my Aunt had when I was a little girl. Sometimes it even had gum in it. Ha ha.
Claire from Pillar Box Blue shared a great tutorial to upcycle placemats with a custom look using maps. This tablescape has a little of that retro-vintage feel that I was just saying I have a little crush on. For a while now, maps have been hugely popular in design.
Please head over to these ladies blogs and feel free to Pin from there.
