Last week at Thursday Favs brought awesome DIY barn door ideas and a variety of projects inspired by doors.
Barn doors have been trending in home decor for quite some time and I don’t see evidence that this fashionable home trend will fall out of favor anytime soon.
Look at all this barn door inspiration!
Lyn from Repurposed for Life shared these beautiful French doors that she converted to a sliding barn door. The other matching door was used for her bathroom. I love the chunky old-world style handle that she used to dress up the door.
How about making your very own laundry room doors?
Tarah from Grandma’s House DIY shared a brilliant budget friendly DIY to make these laundry room doors.
Tarah’s blog post is a funny read. I like people with a sarcastic sense of humor. I’m sure these doors won’t protect from a Zombie apocalypse, but they do work to hide her laundry closet. Ya’ll have to hop over to read her post. You will laugh.
Maybe turn an old door into a new piece of furniture?
Terry from The Curators Collection shared an amazing hand built furniture project. She built a primitive corner curio cabinet using a door. Terry’s sense of style is amazing. She shares quite a few DIY projects on her blog.
Bi-fold panel doors can give plain walls a bit of a French touch too.
I have my own door project to show you too. These are panel doors that I gave a French style faux finish. You might have seen these doors crop up in a few blog posts.
They are one of my favorite projects ever. I pulled this photo from my French Country Farmhouse Dining Table post
As for me being MIA last week, I’m sorry. When my new site design went live it came with quite a few glitches that made it impossible for me to upload media or even compose a blog post. The kinks are being worked out.
DIY lighting mounted on a pair of vintage doors?
On this fine Thursday morning, I took a peek in my reader and realized I overlooked this fabulous post from Maria at Simple Nature Decor. Thank you, sweet Jesus, for the ability to go back in and edit posts.
Maria shared a tutorial for how she turned door panels into fashionable bedside lighting for a one room challenge.
