Thank you to everyone who shared with Thursday Favorite Things blog hop link party this past week. I had so much fun reading so many of your blog posts. Stepping outside of my niche, being invited into ya’lls world, seeing the projects, recipes, your families, and learning where your hearts are at in the various stages of life was quite the adventure. I found myself excited to see the next blog, and then the next, and the next. I wish I had been able to visit every single one of you. You all are so funny, talented, and were an immense pleasure to my week. Each of you were a favorite part of my week! I’m looking forward to seeing what you all link up this week.
In my corner of the world, it is still a bit dark for trying to photograph anything new for my blog. I have been busy tending to more technical aspects of blogging and am also working on a post that involves a company that I will be putting together a kitchen design for and using their products in that design. Another little twist will be doing this upcoming post using Pantone 2016 Colors of the Year- Rose Quartz and Serenity.
Pantone described the colors as “a harmonious pairing of inviting shades that embody a mindset of tranquility and inner peace.”
The colors remind me of Alaskan winter colors. I wanted to share a photo of the natural blues and pinks that are commonly seen up here, but I was unable to locate one on the computer that I’m working from today.
These colors are freaking a lot of people out. At first glance, a lot of folks are like WOAH! Baby nursery colors? No way, man! Oh hello 1980’s weddings! Get thee behind me flashbacks. LOL. I totally get it! I really do. Trust me, though, rose quartz and serenity are just misunderstood right now. Just like everything makes a come back in fashion and design, it was bound to happen sooner or later. Usually the second time around it is coming back with a fresh take on what we saw in the past.
I’m going to explore these colors for this brand and showcase how they can work beautifully in kitchen design. I know it sounds a little scary, right? …..I am confident in my abilities to work this project with some Reinvented Collection & Co magic and design something beautiful for the brand that I am representing. I’m pretty excited about all of that. You can expect to see this post early next week. You all will have to check this one out. It’s going to be really cool.
