We’re only about one-third of the way through summer and I’m seeing signs that some people are beginning to think about fall decor.
Can you believe it?
There are two reasons people are likely to be getting in fall mode-
It’s either a favorite season to decorate for,
people are yearning for cooler temperatures.
Maybe it’s a little of both?
I completely understand be excited about a decorating for a favorite season or holiday and boy do I ever understand a yearning for cooler temps!
The weather has been quite warm here in Anchorage and not having A/C is tough when the house is hovering at 80° and the air is stagnant.
I know everyone is looking for ways to cool off.
I’m not used to being one those people.
This week all I’ve thought about are ways to keep cool.
I’m certain this is the precise reason that coastal inspired decor caught my attention from last week’s link party.
Beach Themed Tablescapes
Andrea from Zauberbars blog caught my eye with the cool color palette she used for styling her small beach themed table.
The pale pink and lavender hydrangeas, starfish and a few seashells against the whitewashed wood were soothing to look at.
She also shared a berry smoothie recipe.
Pinky from Designs by Pinky shared her neutral-toned dining room tablescape.
Pinky included a little of everything with seashells of all shapes and sizes, driftwood, and greenery resembling seagrass.
She has amassed an enviable collection of seashells.
Marsha from The Little Yellow Corner Store shared a bold sea inspired table setting.
It’s not exactly a beach theme, but the scalloped edges reminded me of large clam shells. The bowls are modeled after a flower but versatile.
Wouldn’t a few seashells or white starfish could give off the beachy vibe?
